Snow Emergency Extended

The National Weather Service expects accumulating snow to continue throughout February 12, 2019.  As such the SNOW EMERGENCY declared on February 11, 2012 will continue CITY-WIDE tonight from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service expects accumulating snow to continue throughout February 12, 2019.  As such the SNOW EMERGENCY declared on February 11, 2012 will continue CITY-WIDE tonight from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

To assist the Street Department in their plowing and cleanup efforts related to the snowfall, the Watertown Police Department has extended the SNOW EMERGENCY for an additional 24 hours applicable to the Central City Snow Removal Area only.  The snow emergency extension will go into effect at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night, February 13, 2019 until 7:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, February 14, 2019.

During the remaining 48-hour period of the snow emergency, continuing City-Wide tonight and for the Central City Snow Removal Area only Wednesday nightparking on all city streets and alleys in the affected areas will be banned between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the following morning.  Residents who have no off-street parking available are encouraged to utilize municipal parking lots or make arrangements with neighbors, relatives or friends to avoid a potential $50.00 citation.  In addition, any vehicle that has been ticketed and remains parked at the same location for 24 or more hours afterward may be towed at the owner’s expense.
