Line Painting on Main Street - October 14
The Watertown Street Department will be painting the yellow double center lines on Main Street tonight; Thursday, October 14th. Painting will be on Main Street from Washington Street to Market Street (Sharp Corner Park).
No parking is posted on both sides of Main Street from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14th through 5:00 a.m. Friday, October 15th. This is necessary to allow traffic to flow safely on the sides of the crew while they go down the middle of the street. There will also be cones along the center line to prevent traffic from driving on the wet paint. We will have a truck in front of and behind the line painting machine as protection, but we ask that travelers slow down and be mindful of the workers as they drive Main Street this evening.
This crew will also be painting the white crosswalk on E. Main/Summit Avenue. While this painting is being done there will be a lane switch to safely allow drivers to move through the area around the painting crew.
